What is SHALA?
SHALA stands for the Stanford Health and Lifestyle Assessment. It is an online tool that gauges one's habits, attitudes and readiness for change. Questions range from diet & exercise to support systems & obstacles the person may be experience to attain healthier habits. It can be a valuable tool for YMCA health and wellness staff as they engage members and prospective new members in conversation around good health and individual obstacles and successes, as well as how the YMCA can be most supportive. SHALA is a tool that can further enhance our Activate America goal in supporting & engaging the Health Seeker!
